Attorney II
Education, Experience, Skills
The successful candidate will be a highly collaborative, strategic
individual with meaningful experience in the following areas:
- J.D. and
license to practice law in the U.S (or equivalent in acceptable
jurisdiction outside the U.S.)
- 5+ years
as a practicing commercial attorney, ideally with top law firm or in-house
experience
- Outstanding
academic credentials, excellent communication skills and attention to
detail
- Background
in Latin American sales and/or other complex commercial transactions
- Fluent
in Spanish and Portuguese, with ability to draft and/or negotiate
agreements in these languages
- Experience
with a contract lifecycle management tool
- Demonstrated
ability and willingness to handle a high-volume workload in a “roll up
your sleeves” environment
- Highest
degree of personal and professional integrity and ethics
- Excellent
negotiation skills, including “soft” skills to encourage, motivate and
influence at all levels of the organization and of our customers and
partners
- Effective
communication in person, in groups, over email and in more formal
documentation
- A
practical, creative and proactive problem-solver who is confident and calm
under fire and a strong team player
- Clean
and clear drafting approach, using plain language with a minimum of legalese
- Focus on
both rapid contract completion and contract enforceability, in equal
measure
- Keen
business sense with ability to think creatively and strategically, with a
good sense of humor
- Strong
results orientation, with a solutions-based customer focus, a commitment
to providing the highest quality client service, and a desire to develop
trusted advisor relationships with business clients
- Capability
to work efficiently, meet demanding deadlines in a fast-paced environment,
prioritize workflow, and adjust to frequent fluctuations in workload and
business imperatives
- Ability
to collaborate well across organizational, national and time zone
boundaries
