Information Security Associate
We are currently looking for an Information Security Associate to assist with the development and implementation of a comprehensive Cyber Security Program. You will work with both corporate and managed services business units to select and deploy technical controls to protect the confidentiality, availability, and integrity of Itron intellectual property and customer data.
What you’ll be doing…
- You will support the implementation of an Cyber Security Program including recommending necessary solutions, controls, policies, and procedures to safeguard globally distributed energy systems.
- You will provide first and second-level support and analysis during and after a security incident.
- Review security technologies, tools, and services, and make recommendations to the broader security team
- Conduct incident response exercises with colleagues throughout the organization and incorporate lessons learned into existing security practices
- Conduct forensic analysis of security-related incidents in a manner consistent with guidance from the organization's counsel, human resources, or law enforcement, as the case may be
- Assist and leader security system administration and management of security tools including ITSM tickets through ServiceNOW.
- You will participate in information security projects, SOC Services, EDR, SIEM, Azure and Microsoft Defender products
- Develop tools, utilities, and reports to detect, alert and report on security issues and policy violations.
What you need to fill in this role
- 1-2 years of experience on the OPS side, eg.: Technical support, System admin etc.
- Can-do attitude and the will to share knowledge as part of a team.
- Detail-oriented mindset and excellent problem-solving skills.
- The desire to take ownership of issues and follow through until resolution.
- Some experience with O365 and Azure
- A strong desire to strive to do things better
You might have the following technical skills/experience
- Basic understanding of Active Directory and Azure AD (Entra)
- Managing security tools such as endpoint protection, data filtering (Web, Data, Email), firewalls, and SIEM / log management technology.
- Powershell, Python, KQL or Bash Scripting
- Familiarity with Linux, Windows Operating System
- Basic understanding on cloud and traditional network concepts
- Understanding of OWASP and MITRE ATT&CK framework
- Multicloud security concepts (ex: Azure, AWS, GCP)
