New Graduate - Software Tester

Qualifications:

Experience: Requires no professional experience. Entry point for college graduate. Previous internship or co/op experience is highly preferred.

Required Experience:

·         SQL and Database knowledge

·         User level Linux/Unix

·         UI testing, understanding of Document Object Model (DOM), including debugging/examining in a browser

·         Knowledge of any OOP language (Python, Ruby, Java preferred)

·         Able to work with cross-functional teams to ensure quality through the SDLC, strong verbal and written communication skills

Preferred Experience:

·         Understanding of software testing methodologies and agile methodologies

·         Software testing mindset

·         Testing Tools (Zephyr, ALM/Quality Center, JIRA)

·         REST APIs / Json

·         Backend testing (database and server-side)

·         End-to-end solution testing of IoT devices

Education:  Must have graduated within 24 months from an accredited university with an applicable degree in a related field: Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or other related scientific or technical discipline

Travel: 1 - 10%

Physical Demands: This is an office/lab position. Ability to bend, squat, stand, walk frequently and lift up to 15 pounds regularly is required to perform the duties of this job.
