Our West Union, SC manufacturing plant is looking for a Senior RF Design Engineer to join our Wireless Hardware R&D team. In this role, you will design, modify, and manage activities for a specific product or group of products from product definition and planning through production and release. In addition, you will serve as the central resource with design, process, manufacturing, test, quality, and marketing as the product(s) move to completion and distribution. As an Sr. RF Design Engineer, your Involvement lasts throughout all stages of a product’s lifecycle, from product release through maintenance of the product and end of life decisions. Lastly, you will promote investigation and application of new technologies and industry trends to product management activities and ensure that products shipped meet specifications and quality goals
Duties & Responsibilities:
Develop new products, support existing products and improve processes, specifically related to RF design
Involve in RF circuit design from concept to production for low-cost wireless communications product-line – complete radio transceiver design including RF PA, LNA, RF filters and matching, synthesizers, VCO's and mixers.
May provide design and project support in the areas of project leadership, regulatory, reliability, components selections.
Conduct RF circuit measurements using laboratory spectrum analyzers, oscilloscopes, network analyzers, etc.
Carry out field studies and system test activities
Provide technical support to factory, service and other internal departments.
Verify that designs meet requirements through analysis, simulation, and measurement. Compares results to theory and documents results.
Required Skills and Experience:
This position requires minimum 1 year of related industrial or research experience. Strong entry-level candidates will be considered.
Must have a fundamental understanding of electronic circuits and RF circuits.
Experienced in wireless communication principals and theories is a plus
Experienced with advanced modeling and simulation is a plus.
Education: A bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, Electronics Engineering, Communications Engineering or equivalent is required.
Preferred Skills and Experience
Master’s Degree in related fields is preferred.
Travel: 1 - 10%
