 Itron is transitioning our quality practices and processes to a standardized global Quality Management System and ISO certification and is seeking a Global QMS Sr. Engineer to support this change. The role will develop and support the l Itron  QMS and drive the Global Itron ISO Multi Certification.

 

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Drive deployment of Global Itron QMS architecture for policies, SOPs, work instructions, records and other associated documents to ensure compliance to the QMS
  • Develop - Global QMS processes, own and drive QMS quality procedure definition and deployment
  • Drive quality reporting and management review process
  • Communicate, train and coach the quality organization on QMS procedure, work instruction and associated documents.
  • Help develop training curriculum, help determine model and type of training to support procedure process owners
  • Drive global ISO multi-certification deployment and certification. Own ISO 90001 certification and support ISO 14001 and 270001
  • Coordinate and direct external 3rd party registration/surveillance audit globally
  • Own readiness for all internal and external quality audits with the site QMS Managers.
  • Measure effectiveness of training on QMS
  • Ensure Periodic Review of Quality Documentation
  • Partner with Regulatory Team to ensure coverage of relevant regulatory requirements in QMS

 

Position challenges:

  • Deploy standardized processes across the global organization.
  • Maintain the integrity of the certified quality system requirements with lean, cost-effective strategies that meet the organization’s needs.
  • Advocating as the "voice of the customer" demanding the highest quality expectations from the organization. 

Supervision exercised:

  • Internal Audit Team
  • QMS / ISO local site owners
  • QMS processes owners

Required Skills & Experience:

  • 10+ years of Quality Engineering experience.
  • 5+ years’ experience managing a certified quality management system
  • Quality engineer experience with technical understanding for products content and quality technics
  • Experience in defining and deploying Processes, building and managing a global QMS

Certification(s): 

  • Project management experience.
  • Certified Quality Engineer preferred
  • ISO 9001 Lead Auditor

Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience

 

Location: This is a hybrid role with occasional travel to global manufacturing or design sites.

 Travel: up to 15%

The successful candidate's starting salary will be determined based on permissible, non-discriminatory factors such as skills and experience. Liberty Lake, WA: The annual base salary ranges from $96,000 - $184,000. This position also includes a competitive benefit package including; financial, social, health and wellbeing programs, paid vacation, 401k matching, employee stock purchase program, hybrid work schedule, and more!
