The Senior Program Manager reports to the Program Management Director of our Device Solutions organization. You are responsible for end-to-end management of product development projects for gas, water, heat, and electricity products. Development focus includes elements of systems, mechanical, electronics and firmware with software applications as needed.

You collaborate physically and virtually with Program Managers from our Device Solutions, Networks and Outcomes organizations. You guide international core teams involving diverse departments: R&D, Product Management, Procurement, Quality, Manufacturing Engineering, etc. You make sure that the company goals are met by sharing best practices, anticipating risks, and supporting the resolution of business obstacles.

 

Duties & Responsibilities

  • You will own the program from initiation through program execution exit, once the product is in volume production including planning and directing schedules, maintaining budget/spending and ensuring the project meets the intended business goals.
  • Maintaining accurate project information, formulations, and specifications.
  • Guide teams across all aspects of a successful product development throughout all development phases.
  • Collaborate with technical visionaries to create and review specifications and finished products as needed as well as with product management for feature and change request management.
  • Plan and execute project milestones with cross functional teams including personnel in Quality, Product Management, Procurement, Operations, and Finance on new product development and product technical issues, guide collaboration in an international team.
  • Ensure information flows through reporting, proactive escalation of issues, and cross functional collaboration.
  • Prioritizing and managing multiple projects with overlapping deadlines.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • 8+ years of experience in managing complex Projects/Programs related to HW technologies (mechanical and embedded / FW systems).
  • Comfortable in a multinational matrix environment with globally distributed, virtual teams.
  • Relationship-building experience delivering on time, on quality, on cost programs – able to clearly articulate business cases. Comfortable with C level executives.
  • Strong problem solving and risk mitigation experience.
  • Experience with evidence-based resolution making.

Preferred Skills & Experience:

  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Master's degree in engineering preferred.
  • PMP/PMI Certification preferred

 Education: Bachelor's degree or relevant work experience 

Certification(s): PMP/PMI Certification preferred.

Travel: up to 20%
