Senior SQA Engineer

Itron is seeking a Sr. SQA Engineer based in Liberty Lake, WA to help test DEM software. You will be working closely with local and international product and engineering teams. Testing work will include both building out testing automation and manual testing. DEM software integrates with a large variety of devices. Ensuring that the DEM software connects and operates devices in our labs is key to this job. You will be helping to set up testing environments and assisting with lab maintenance. In addition to testing, you help the product team to ensure features are ready for development and testing. The ability to fully understand how a feature will be built and tested is important for this role.
Job Duties & Responsibilities
- Develop and execute software test plans, test designs, test objectives, and test cases
- Identify, analyze and document defects
- Problem investigation and resolution
- Report test results and analysis
- Ensure lab equipment in proper operating condition for testing
- Evaluate and recommend improvements for testing processes and tools
- Develop automated tests with a focus on the regression testing process
- Assist with feature creation to ensure that the features are understood by development and QA teams
Experience: 6+ years of experience in a similar role
Required Skills and Experience
- Comfort and experience working in Linux and Git
- A solid understanding of manual and automated testing practices
- Experience creating test plans and executing test cases for large/complex applications
- Management of regression testing needs for a large system
- Execution and validation of deployment runbooks/scripts
- Restful web services and API testing
- Ability to learn quickly and balance multiple testing activities across product lines
- Experience in Agile methodologies
- Good communication skills
Preferred Skills and Experience
- Testing with Containerization (Docker)
- Microservices Architecture
- Mobile device testing
- Cloud experience in Azure and/or AWS
Education: Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent experience.
Travel: 1 - 10%
Physical Demands: This is an office/lab position. Ability to bend, squat, stand, walk frequently and lift up to 10 pounds regularly is required to perform the duties of this job.

Liberty Lake, WA: The base salary is $75,000.00 - $148,000.00
