Skills required
- This time we are looking for an engineer who has already architected a major storage environment with VMware
- Be able to come up with solutions and presentations
- Be able to lead infrastructure(system/storage) side of projects
- Automation tools Ansible / Python, shell scripting a must
- Solid, preferably around 7 years of experience with Storage Arrays
- Solid, preferably around 5 years of experience in managing backups, replication, DR implementation
- Knowledge of VMware vShpere with particular focus towards storage configs
- Solid understanding of TCP/IP networking, SAN & NAS
- Prior design experience in SAN/NAS storage technologies
- Hands on expertise in SAN zoning, storage migrations
- Ability to work independently and drive across internal teams and storage vendors
- Must be adept at identifying and eliminating performance bottlenecks and making performance-related recommendations (hardware, software, and configuration)
- Familiarity with Oracle Concepts, i.e. ASM, RMAN, DataGuard
- In depth knowledge of DNS principles and architectures
- Working knowledge of the guest operating systems such as Windows, Linux, Solaris, etc.
- Familiarity with security issues and best practices in virtual environments
- Fluency in English

- The ability to think creatively and communicate their ideas effectively
- Demonstrate good communication skills, written and spoken and be capable of presenting technical concepts to audiences of various technical abilities
- Knowledge of Splunk, Jira a plus
- Ability to mentor & train others
