Required Skills:
• 5+ years of software development experience, 2+ of which was spent doing hands-on software development, and another 1+ years spent working directly with customers in a professional services capacity.
• Proven ability to manage customer/partner relationships; experience dealing with large companies which requires interacting with and managing requirements from multiple sources
• Hands-on experience with enterprise middleware and volume transaction processing; experience within the utility industry is strongly preferred
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate complex ideas and designs to both technical and non-technical staff
• Ability to whiteboard solutions in front of a large audience and think nimbly on your feet
• Ability to manage multiple projects and tasks running concurrently
• Strong understanding of multi-threaded architectures, distributed systems, and scalable messaging
• Knowledgeable in technologies such as Java/J2EE, SOAP, XML, JMS, ESB implementations (Mulesoft Mule experience preferred) and in building software for windows and linux environments.
• Ability to write scripts in Perl, Python, Ruby, etc.
• Understanding of enterprise-class security solutions, including LDAP and public key cryptography
• Understanding and experience with an RDBMS (Oracle preferred)
• Enjoy working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
• Self-motivated; able to demonstrate initiative and risk-taking
• This position requires a minimum of a BS in Computer Science or equivalent.
• Candidate must be willing to travel up to 50% of the time.
