Required Experience
- Good under pressure
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and/or experience
- Experience with Linux
- Basic understanding of networking
- Experience with Shell, Perl, Python or scripting
- Familiarity with SNMP protocol and versions as well as how to interact with MIBs\OIDs
- Understanding of system-level resource allocation, with regards to memory\cpu\disk utilization
- Understanding of Java application-level resource utilization, and the conceptual difference between heap\stack memory allocation
- Understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle.
- Familiarity with Nagios and/or Splunk a plus
- Experience with Ansible a plus
- Full capability to install and configure tomcat and apache a plus
- Capable to install and configure MariaDB databases and query languages
- Experience with system management tools, logical file systems, and client/server environments.
- Comfortable with APIs (SOAP/REST/WSDL)
- Strong troubleshooting skills
- Demonstrated initiative, customer orientation and team work competencies
- Ability to communicate technical issues with non-technical people
- Capable to make judgment within defined Itron process, procedures and change control.
- Be able to work and resolve problems where the root cause requires review and analysis of multiple factors and aspects.
- Outstanding customer service skills
- Good time management skills
