As a Sr. Product Marketing Manager in Networked Solutions at Itron, you will drive the strategic planning, implementation, management and performance of multiple product marketing campaigns and Go-To-Market initiatives across the Networked Solutions lines of business, which include industrial IoT (IIoT) network connectivity, electric, water, and gas AMI, and smart lighting and smart community solutions. 

 

This is a cross-functional role, and the successful candidate will have proven experience in developing and driving multi-channel marketing programs, sales enablement initiatives, marketing communications campaigns and product launch activities. You will interact directly with product managers, product marketing, corporate marketing, sales teams and industry partners to develop tactical and strategic plans to launch new products, generate leads, accelerate pipeline, and drive industry awareness for Itron’s solutions.  

 

Responsibilities will include developing and executing marketing plans to help meet target sales and line of business growth objectives, managing budgets, developing sales enablement tools and training, collateral development, event management, presentation development, digital and web content development, messaging, branding, and new product launch activities. Experience in writing, content marketing, strategic positioning and articulating both technical and business value propositions is desired. Experience in tracking and analyzing campaign performance metrics to evaluate results and provide recommendations for future marketing promotions is desired.

Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Drive marketing program and campaign planning, execution and management for multiple Networked Solutions line of business initiatives.  

  • Support product management in the development and execution of global and regional go-to-market (GTM) initiatives. Includes working with product management to drive the development of value proposition, market segmentation, competitive analysis, commercial model, pricing, delivery model, collateral, sales tools, etc. in preparation for solution launch.  

  • Leverage and coordinate resources of corporate marketing group, as needed, to plan, oversee, develop, execute, track and be accountable for assigned product-group based marketing campaigns and related activities. 

  • Develop and execute Itron-led and industry-sponsored lead generation and awareness marketing campaigns.  

  • Evaluate, recommend, and manage industry-sponsored media programs. Analyze results to provide recommendations to maximize performance and investment.  

  • Identify, plan and provide budgetary requirements for product-group related marketing needs and activities. 

  • Develop and promote sales enablement tools, content and training to drive new client acquisition & sales revenue.  

  • Manage content and assets on a central repository.  

  • Coordinate, manage and present regular marketing updates to sales, corporate marketing, Product Business Units. 

  • Contribute content to various internal and external marketing communications (e.g. newsletters, email campaigns, articles).  

  • Work with customers to develop case studies, videos, testimonials, awards, etc.  

  • Work with corporate marketing and sales to identify and secure speaking opportunities.  

  • Serve as corporate marketing group's primary subject matter expert on product group needs and opportunities. 

  • Manage content and positioning for industry and customer events. Work with internal and external parties on logistics and execution.   

 

Qualifications  

  • 8+ years of related experience.  

  • Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent experience. 

  • Energy and water utility industry or telecommunications experience is preferred.  

  • Strong organizational skills are required. 

  • Strong communication skills are required.  

  • Experience in technical and business writing.  

  • Desire and ability to manage multiple projects.  

  • Ability to work effectively and drive results with diverse teams both remotely and in-person.  

  • Ability to travel 25-30%.  
     

Location:  Can be located out of Liberty Lake, WA office, Raleigh, NC office, or remote for the right candidate

The successful candidate's starting salary will be determined based on permissible, non-discriminatory factors such as skills and experience. Salary for Washington: $125,000 - $215,000 per year.  Depends on experience.
