Sr Program Manager - Sales Enablement
The primary responsibility of the Sr Program Manager, Sales Enablement, is to support the sales teams and channel partners with oversight and leadership with the learning and development required for success through the sales process. This role will function across a highly matrixed organization to drive the common sales methodology and accompanying tools that cross stakeholders and lines of business across the global enterprise to enable growth. This position will report to the Director of Sales Excellence.
Job Responsibilities:
- Lead the overall sales training effectiveness and engagement for the Itron selling community.
- Collaborate with internal and external partners to continually understand the training needs and content to reinforce Itron’s growth culture.
- Partner with sales leadership in support of specific training strategies applicable to the Product Business Units, products and solutions, bringing rigor and discipline to the training for expedited time to productivity for new sellers, improved learning retention and successful application.
- Design, implement and deliver multiple training programs (onboarding, product, solutions, selling techniques, process, etc.) and learning options (virtually and in-person) while measuring their impact and effectiveness and implementing continuous improvements.
- Build and maintain a portfolio of training and development assets to include sales playbooks, webinars, videos, static content, and an accompanying calendar of events, etc.
- Assists sales leadership with training reinforcement and behavior change management through communication and adoption.
- Lead or assist projects and other duties in support of Sales Enablement as needed.
Qualifications:
- B.S., B.A. degree or equivalent preferred; however, equivalent work experience may substitute formal education.
- 10+ years global experience in Sales and/or Marketing roles.
- Self-motivated, customer focused individual with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and to deliver top quality work under tight deadlines.
- Demonstrated track record of developing and delivering training programs designed to impact sales productivity and performance including successful onboarding plans within sales organizations.
- Ability to build strong relationships and work effectively with various levels within the organization.
- Strong knowledge of sales effectiveness (skills/knowledge training), recent trends and developments in sales enablement as well as knowledge of adult learning principles and creative learning methods.
- Experience with high-touch, enterprise sales cycles.
- Strong project management skills, especially project planning and delivery.
- Experience with Salesforce CRM desirable but not required.
