The Sr. Oracle Application Technical Specialist – Under limited supervision, provides advanced support for Oracle E-business Suite acting as an internal Functional/Technical analyst and development resource. This role will be part of team responsible for the design, development and implementation of the Company’s business intelligence platform. This includes, but is not limited to, gathering business report requirements, assisting business partners with user acceptance testing, communication, documentation, training, report testing and end-user production support. The Sr. Oracle Application Functional/Technical Specialist resource will work with Microsoft Business Intelligence (BI) developers to support all aspects of business analytics and reporting. Technical skills required include a solid understanding of the Oracle ERP table structures using basic to advanced SQL statements, tunning complex SQLs, provide adequate data issue resolution with detailed documentation and anticipate business partner's questions and provide solutions to answer analytics and reporting questions. This employee has heavy contact with other business departments, as well as, outside vendors in support of international IT operations.

 

You will have the unique ability to play a key role in business engagements, spanning across many different business processes, throughout the entire project life cycle. Qualified candidates will be hands-on with technology, as well as highly self-directed and working with our internal business and IT team members.

 



Essential Duties & Responsibilities

·       Plan, organize and coordinate the business requirements gathering and/or development of analytics and reporting in accordance with strategic business plans and industry standards on multiple large projects 

·       Responsible for analyzing and providing functional/technical knowledge of supported applications and user needs. Document the requirements, help coordinate reporting solutions.

·       Investigate and resolve data issues and analyze all business requirements and perform interview with all stakeholders

·       Coordinate with all customers and analyze test queries and analyze client issues and assist all application analysts to translate all workflow requirements to efficient data points

·       Work with global teams and business users to understand and translate user requirements into data structures, models, and integration/extract jobs

·       Assist with the creation, documentation and execution of report test scripts for supported systems. Research, implement and document solutions to issues identified during testing

·       Develop and perform tests on various enterprises and provide dashboard solutions with help of Microsoft BI software and assist all end users

·       Collaborate with Project Management Office, development teams, data integration teams (ETL, Data Architect) for providing new data sources for analytics and reporting

·       Mentor other teammates

·       Communicate with management and business partners on production and project statuses in a timely manner

·       Work closely with internal business units to facilitate project completion

·       Maintain and enhance the Oracle technical solutions to increase the capability, performance, maintainability, and scalability of systems

·       Design complex efficient Oracle queries, tables, and SQL Statements

·       Determine and communicate work estimates and status as needed

Knowledge, Skills & Qualifications

·       5+ years of experience in Oracle Enterprise Business Applications EBS technical development

·       Understanding of Oracle EBS modules and functions: Finance, Supply Chain, Foundation

·       Experience designing and developing Oracle Database objects: Tables, View, Queries and Stored Procedures

·       Excellent verbal and written communication skills

·       Knowledge of relational database structures, start schema structures, models, and diagrams

·       Understanding of enterprise data integration and data architecture

·       Advanced knowledge of business processes for supported business groups

·       Advanced knowledge of information technology systems, infrastructure and operations

·       Advanced working knowledge of information systems and operations systems for supported business groups

·       Knowledge of business processes for supported business groups

·       Knowledge of information technology systems, infrastructure and operations.

·       Knowledge of security methodologies, policies, standards and best practices

·       Knowledgeable of best practices in information technology governance and regulatory landscape for financial institutions.

·       Significant experience in a large and complex business environment

·       Working knowledge of information systems and operations systems for supported business groups

·       Working knowledge of the Corporate Business solution environment

·       Strong analytical and problem solving skills

·       Able to work in a team environment

·       Able to work quickly and effectively under pressure and to efficiently handle multiple priorities simultaneously

·       Ability to analyze data using Excel for reporting and data mining purposes

·       Ability to meet expected delivery dates and the tasks necessary to achieve objectives

·       Advanced computer skills and conversance in information technology issues

·       Advanced experience with data visualization concepts and tools

·       Must be a self-starter and able to manage the investigations function with minimal supervision

·       Strong in the use of Microsoft Office software

·       Flexibility for working in Global organization 

 

Education and Experience

·       Master’s degree from an accredited college or university in Computer Science or a related IT field

·       Minimum 5+ years of experience in an IT and technical development on Oracle application

o Oracle databases particularly Oracle EBS data objects

·       Experience working with Oracle Business User community for testing and requirements refinement

·       Experience with Microsoft BI Suite (SSRS, SSAS, MS Power BI, Excel)

Travel Requirements

·       Occasional travel (less than 15% of the time) to participate and work with global team
