Skills required
- At least 2-3 years of experience documenting, implementing, and maintaining complex end-to-end system/application monitoring capabilities in a complex network, preferably utilizing SolarWinds.
- Deployment of monitoring tool(s) in simple and complex environments, including High-availability, Disaster Recovery plans and procedures
- Troubleshooting experience of monitoring tool deployments in simple and complex environments.
- Experience working in an environment with complex networking solutions with fundamental knowledge in networking principles (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, SMTP, SNMP)
- Experience creating, maintaining, following Standard Operating Procedures for repeatable processes, disaster recovery, and common problem resolution
- Experience with previous versions of SolarWinds and / or other relevant monitoring tools for enterprise monitoring.
Skills desired
- Clear understanding of the SolarWinds architecture and functioning of SolarWinds and its components
- Experience in automating assigned tasks utilizing PowerShell and/ or Linux scripting technologies such as bash
- Experience with other tools e.g. Splunk, Nagios
